 W dniu 18 listopada 2023 roku w Brzeżnie (Powiat Świdwiński) dziewięć jednostek Ochotniczych Straży Pożarnych z terenu Województwa Zachodniopomorskiego włączonych zostało w struktury Krajowego Systemu Ratowniczo – Gaśniczego Państwowej Straży Pożarnej. Jedną z nich jest Ochotnicza Straż Pożarna w Rychnowie.

 Akty włączenia jednostki do KSRG wręczył  Komendant Wojewódzki Państwowej Straży Pożarnej w Szczecinie nadbrygadier Jarosław Tomczyk.

 W obecności Komendanta Powiatowego Państwowej Straży Pożarnej w Myśliborzu bryg. Norberta Karbownika oraz Zastępcy Burmistrza Barlinka Krzysztofa Paszka decyzję o włączeniu do KSRG odebrał prezes OSP Rychnów dh Paweł Brożek.

 Krajowy System Ratowniczo-Gaśniczy stanowi integralną część bezpieczeństwa wewnętrznego państwa. Jednostki OSP ubiegające się o włączenie do KSRG muszą spełnić szereg wymogów, między innymi pod względem wyszkolenia i wyposażenia, które są podstawą dla Komendanta Głównego Państwowej Straży Pożarnej do wydania pozytywnych decyzji o włączeniu jednostek Ochotniczych Straży Pożarnych do Krajowego Systemu Ratowniczo-Gaśniczego.
